2022 NEALS New Principal Investigator Training

NEALS is pleased to announce a full day in-person training session Friday, April 1st, 2022 in Boston, Massachusetts for Investigators (MD) interested in developing and conducting multi-center ALS clinical trials as Principal Investigators. The NEALS New Principal Investigator training seminar will provide participants with the practical, hands-on instruction needed to set-up and manage multi-center clinical research studies.

As part of a grant awarded by The ALS Association to the NEALS Clinical Trial Support Program through the Neurological Clinical Research Institute at Mass General and Barrow Neurological Institute, we will cover economy travel and one night hotel costs for 15 attendees. Eligible participants will be accepted to attend on a first come, first served basis.

In light of ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19 and variants, we will be requiring the following:

  • Face coverings are required of all PI Training Seminar attendees and faculty at all times. Exceptions will be made only while eating & drinking. 
  • Proof of Vaccination in accordance with local/state guidelines will be required in order to attend the 2022 PI Training Seminar (at minimum, 2-dose series of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine) will be required).
  • Attendees will be expected to adhere to any/all local ordinances in place in Boston, Massachusetts at the time of the event.
