Pamela Kittrell MSN RN CCRC has worked exclusively with drug and device research in Neuromuscular disease since 2005. With Dr. Carlayne Jackson at UT Health San Antonio, she has coordinated more than 60 trials and contributed to numerous neuromuscular research publications and abstracts. Pam has presented locally, regionally, nationally and internationally on ALS research and care of the ALS patient. From 2009-2015 Pam was the Clinic Coordinator and Clinical Research Nurse for the weekly UTHSA ALS Association multidisciplinary clinic-serving approximately 250 patients across Texas. Since 2015 she has continued in the Clinical Research Nurse role providing guidance on local research options for our patients and our team. Pam is a certified research coordinator (Association of Clinical Research Professionals® ) since 2012 and maintains that certification. She is a member of a number of national professional organizations for nursing, research and ALS research including: the Muscle Study Group (served on the Executive Board as the Study Coordinator Representative), the NEALS Research Nurse Committee (current chair), the NEALS Vent Committee, the NEALS Coordinator Committee, the ALS Research Group, ALSUntangled, and has been a member of the UTHSA Investigational Review Board since 2010.
